"The most fascinating man I ever dated" Marilyn Monroe to Robert Slatzer
Not only did Marilyn date Frank Sinatra, according to several sources she wanted to marry him.
Marilyn first met Frank in 1954 when 20th Century Fox cast them opposite one another in the ill-fated movie The Girl in the Pink Tights. They began dating shortly afterwards following Marilyn's split from Joe DiMaggio. In the mid 1950s, during her New York period, Marilyn continued to see Sinatra occasionally. In 1960-1961, following her split from Arthur Miller, Marilyn resumed her courtship with Frank and when she eventually settled into her Doheny Drive apartment, her neighbour was none other than Frank Sinatra.
