Arthur Miller first met Marilyn in 1950 on the set of the 20th Century Fox film As Young as You Feel where she was shooting her role as a secretary.  Reportedly for Marilyn, it was love at first sight.  

It was not until May 1955 that Miller and Marilyn got together again after she had divorced Joe DiMaggio and moved from Hollywood to New York. The couple secretly dated and In 1956 they were married in two ceremonies, one civil and one Jewish, on June 29th and July 1st, respectively.
